Could I Stay Seventeen….

I never imagined a state would come,
When I’d not want to turn eighteen.
A wish that would not be fulfilled-
A desire to stay seventeen.
Coz I loved the year,
I cherish each moment,
And now I don’t want to give up,
And would love to remain seventeen,
To enjoy the sweetness of this year,
Each minute so full of life and meaning.
‘N I find it hard, so very hard to let go,
Coz though I know I have to move on……..
I don’t want to leave what I enjoyed.
A memorable year,
The year that taught me,
What life was……..
And how to enjoy it.
However turbulent the water was,
I learnt to hold on!
Memories that have left impressions so deep,
That nothing could erase them.
People I’ve met who’ve lent so much,
To a life I once considered miserable.
Friendz who’ve lent so much to me,
For being what they were to me.
This one year a lot happened……..
A lot that lent great satisfaction to the mind.
And joy to my heart….
I don’t want to let go
That’s all I know!
